I announced that I would be making a 1.5.0 RC today and this is the second of
two issues where commits are half done and of uncertain status. Sure, I could
move the fix version and release anyway but that is rude if a commit will land
in an hour or two. There is too much uncertainty in our workflow. We have to do
better. When an RM announces the intent to make a RC we should hold commits for
24 hours or something like that. (A terrible strawman, but you get the gist.)
