Huaxiang Sun commented on HBASE-24080: -------------------------------------- Understood the root cause now. When region server hosting replica 1 is killed, all regions will be reassigned. Meta table happens to be hosted at that rs as well. So it needs to assign meta region first, then the replica 1 region.
