@bbeaudreault I've pushed up https://github.com/apache/hbase/pull/5373/commits/358f0ac9402c81903c6b51309cb6a6c47c631822 which adds some additional comments that explain pretty much every branch of the new seekToPreviousRow methods. Additionally, I've done a bit of additional simplification to a few of the methods/added some comments in key areas. I'm also going to redo the initial reverse scan benchmarks and post the results in the JIRA to make sure that this optimization continues to show it's ~40% performance improvement over the current path with all the refactoring that I've been doing. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
