Here's what I mean:
Use upsert for Increment and Append if VERSIONS == 1, use Store.add otherwise 
(just like Puts in that case)

TODO:
I can easily adept Append to take the TS (in fact it already does, just not per 
column); for Increments it's a bit more tricky as currently just serializes a 
column -> long mapping.
