Thanks for the links, I wasn't aware of those two. Standing up a temporary
Apache DS instance was definitely one approach I was thinking of. I've opened
HBASE-7781 for follow up.
Also does Bigtop provide coverage in this area? If so, is there better
collaboration we could do to provide coverage of development changes prior to
release?
