I was working on HBASE-7841 and realized that 'HBASE-7987 Snapshot Manifest
file instead of multiple empty files' would give us considerable performance
benefit, especially in reducing load on namenode.
Since there is no Apache HBase release containing snapshots feature, I think we
should include the fix for HBASE-7987 in the very first release which has
snapshots capability.
Otherwise we would have to version snapshot support which complicates this
feature.
