[~vihangk1] thanks for the review. I'll fix the notice in the upgrade scripts.
The change to bin.xml is because I found an error where not all the
upgrade/install scripts were being selected from the standalone-metastore
directory. This error didn't affect the 3.0 release so I didn't need to
backport it.
