Stamatis Zampetakis commented on HIVE-30242:
--------------------------------------------
If I am not wrong all CI and testing infrastructure is still running on JDK 21.
It feels a bit premature to bump container images to JDK 25 while all CI stills
runs on an older JDK. Not opposed to the change but I feel that in terms of
order we should first have all CI run without issues on JDK25 (not necessary
compilation, just execution) and then do the bump on the images.

> Given the hadoop 3.4.3 upgrade, JDK21 compiled hive artifacts can run
> properly on JDK25 image. As JDK25 is the compile target, I propose to bump
> thd JDK version in docker images to 25. Tested on a kubernetes cluster, all
> components used the JDK25 image (hs2, metastore, tez am, llap)
