This patch needed rebasing since HIVE-15365 went in, and also a couple of minor
api changes, so I'm looking in to rebasing with those changes.
However, the
org.apache.hive.hcatalog.api.TestHCatClientNotification.dropPartition test
failure reported by ptest does seem to be related to this patch, so that will
likely need further fixing past my rebasing/updating.
