I've seen this in the past usually as a result of a bad build. Is DDL semantic 
analyzer correctly wired for this command? If yes (I'd assume yes), regular 
SemanticAnalyzer should not be run for it. 
If you are using Eclipse, make sure to run mvn /clean/ install ... before test, 
Eclipse messes with jars as far as I can tell so over time from the last clean 
build, bizarre bugs in tests become more likely.
