Yeah, the go webserver will expose a REST interface that the Javascript can
call. This is already partially implemented in rest.go, which can field a
bunch of REST queries. I think eventually we will want to stabilize the REST
API so that it can be used by external consumers too. But we'll have to get
the web ui working before we know exactly how we want to UI to look, so it
might take a release or two to make it a stable api
