Seems like an issue with the HiveClient. Could you check the server HMS version, the HMSClient version in the job. Or alternatively if there is a connection issue between the tasks and the HMS, you could decrease the checkpoint interval and see if the connection failure happens because some idle timeout... -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
