I am also facing this issue with a similar Spark setup. However, I am using Glue 5.0 and Spark 3.5 with a recent build from main. I have ensured that our Lake Formation setup is allowing for the third-party engine and have registered the engine tag in the console. The glue job with our spark code uses role_a which assumes role_b which has permissions provisioned by Lake Formation and is being utilized successfully in other glue jobs -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
