@mattmartin14 super simple example for pa.filter()
```
import pyarrow as pa
import pandas as pd
df = pd.DataFrame({"name": ["tom", "matt"]})
tbl = pa.Table.from_pandas(df)
mask = pa.compute.equal(tbl["name"], "tom")
tbl.filter(mask)
```
