@manuzhang @nssalian The branch is conflict-free again — merged the latest main and adapted the time batch-read guard to the new geometry/variant structure in `SparkBatch` (the nested-time check now runs before the metadata-column early return, so `_partition` with a time field still falls back to row reads).
