Can we move this to an issue? Decisions like this need to happen "on the mailing list" per ASF governance. GitHub discussions are not an appropriate venue, unless something has changed recently (All comments on GitHub issues and PRs get sent to an ASF mailing list, but this is not true for GitHub discussions).
