Current setup assumes that assertions are enabled.
If assertions are disabled, then the following tests fail due to various
reasons:
* ItZonesSystemViewTest
* MetricEntitiesTest
* DistributionMetricTest
* DistributionZoneCausalityDataNodesTest
* TxManagerTest
