Nikolay Izhikov commented on IGNITE-8310: ----------------------------------------- Hello, [~isapego]. Can you somehow extend current instructions about initial project setup? It's clear to me that current instructions are not enough. It takes about 1 week and big dev-list thread to setup project on the Linux. But on the Windows 10 with VS 2017 I can't manage it to be working. Can you give me and other community members clear instructions - how to setup current CPP project both on the Windows and on the Linux? * Which version of Windows to use? * Which version of VS to use? * Which versions of dependencies to use? OpenSSL, boost. * How to setup includes and linkage paths? * How to run tests? etc. > CPP: Remove strong dependency on Boost 1.58.0 > --------------------------------------------- > > Key: IGNITE-8310 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IGNITE-8310 > Project: Ignite > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: odbc, platforms > Affects Versions: 2.4 > Reporter: Igor Sapego > Assignee: Nikolay Izhikov > Priority: Major > Labels: boost, cpp, odbc > Fix For: 2.6 > > > Currently, tests for C++ client and ODBC depend on the Boost 1.58.0. There is > a strong dependency on the exact version, which causes troubles for the > developers and which should not be there from the very beginning as we do not > really need some features from this particular version. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005)
