John Russell created IMPALA-6376: ------------------------------------ Summary: Make impala-shell preserve session history upon disconnect Key: IMPALA-6376 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IMPALA-6376 Project: IMPALA Issue Type: Improvement Components: Clients Reporter: John Russell Priority: Minor
If I'm ssh'ed to a Linux box and running Impala there, then I close and reopen my laptop cover, the terminal window shows an error like: packet_write_wait: Connection to __.__.__.__ : Broken pipe If I re-establish the connection and run impala-shell again, my shell history doesn't contain any of the commands from the session that got interrupted. Is it practical for impala-shell to have a signal handler that would save & close the history file when it gets interrupted / disconnected like this? -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.4.14#64029)
