There is an example showing how to build an application on top of Karaf which
deletes a file using VFS here:

It would be nice if we could document around this or a similar application to
show the best practices for using Karaf to build an application. This would
greatly help other application developers if they could use this as a guide to
their own efforts.
I'm not sure if this is something we would want to include in the Karaf manual
or to have available as a separate article.
