I've just closed https://github.com/ops4j/org.ops4j.pax.url/issues/287
explaining that you don't need an extension to {{mvn:}} URL syntax - what you
need is direct interaction with [Maven Resolver
API|https://maven.apache.org/resolver/apidocs/org/eclipse/aether/RepositorySystem.html].
