[~jdcryans]: Code fairy fix? I'm also on OS X 10.11, and I did build from a
fresh clone, with protoc in my path b/c of Homebrew install, and no troubles.
I'll try one more time, but I'll only report back if something isn't fine so I
guess you can close the issue if you think it's not meaningful anymore.
