I wonder how this would work for MMAP'd regions. I need to read through the entire implementation, but moving away from all vectors for a single field being represented in a single chunk to vectors across all fields being represented in one big chunk seems dubious. Deduplicating within a doc seems prudent to me to avoid this cross-field antics.
