Devika Pradhan updated MCOMPILER-245:
-------------------------------------
    Description:
Hi, I am new at learning maven. I installed the apache maven 3.3 version
online. Prior to that, I used the Maven Plugin in Eclipse. On the command
prompt, when I typed mvn -v, the ideal output should have been :

Apache Maven 3.2.1 (ea8b2b07643dbb1b84b6d16e1f08391b666bc1e9;
2014-02-14T11:37:52-06:00)
Maven home: /usr/local/apache-maven/apache-maven-3.2.1
Java version: 1.8.0, vendor: Oracle Corporation
Java home: /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0.jdk/Contents/Home/jre
Default locale: en_US, platform encoding: UTF-8
OS name: "mac os x", version: "10.9.2", arch: "x86_64", family: "mac"

However, I am missing the Maven home line. It would be a great help if someone
could give me a detailed explanantion why this is happening and how can it be
fixed.
