Robert Scholte commented on MNG-6649:
-------------------------------------

First of all, based on your folder structure the sourceDirectory should have
been {{src}} and not . (dot); by saying . every file ends up on the sourcepath,
including the pom.xml. The package in the Java sourcefile suggest you meant
something else, namely the src-folder

This will also solve the other issue: with your configuration the
target-directory with be part of both input and output directory.

I advice you to use Mavens defaults, not just for yourself but also for others
trying to build your project.

If you want to control the targetDirectory with the property targetDirectory,
I'd suggest to add

{code:xml}
<project>
  <properties>
    <targetDirectory>target</targetDirectory>
  </properties>
  ...
</project>
{code}

This way it still points to Mavens default (the target folder), but you can
override it (for whatever reason)
