Out of curiosity: any reason to implement that and not encourage to use the
impl as parameter type instead as done today - = is the complexity it adds in
the API for us (validation of the class hierarchy) and users (duplicated
information in most of the case if you don't use the default or ignore the
parameter) worth it?
