### Affected version master, 4.0.0-RC7 ### Bug description While running the Surefire ITs with Maven 4.0.0-rc-7, I noticed that the configuration defined for a phase in a plugin’s custom lifecycle (e.g. lifecycle.xml) does not reach the forked mojo executions. For example, testFailureIgnore=true from the Surefire lifecycle of the maven-surefire-report-plugin is lost, so failing tests break surefire-report:report, while Maven 3.9.x ignores them as intended. Affected Surefire ITs are Surefire570MultipleReportDirectoriesIT and Surefire260TestWithIdenticalNamesIT.
