Port of #13256 to `master`. Check the `paths` map **first** in `getPath()`: any path explicitly registered via `setPath()` takes precedence over `project.getArtifact().getFile()`. Previously, the project artifact loop ran before checking the `paths` map, causing `install:install` (which calls `setPath(pomArtifact, pomPath)` then `getPath(pomArtifact)`) to return the JAR file instead of the registered POM path when `jar:jar` was run on a pom-packaged project. - Check the `paths` map first before the project artifact loop in `DefaultArtifactManager.getPath()` - Unit test added: `DefaultArtifactManagerTest.setPathTakesPrecedenceOverProjectArtifactFile()` - Integration test in maven-install-plugin: MINSTALL-315 Fixes MINSTALL-315. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
