slachiewicz opened a new pull request, #1808:
URL: https://github.com/apache/maven-site/pull/1808

*What's new in Maven 4* said the consumer POM removes plugin configuration
and properties. With Maven 4.0.0-rc-7 that holds only with flattening: without
it, a subproject's consumer POM keeps `<parent>`, `<properties>` and `<build>`,
plugin configuration included. The section now says so, and lists the removal
under flattening. Follow-up to #1806 (items 30 and 31).

   Verified: two-module project, `mvn install` with 4.0.0-rc-7 → `a-1.pom`
keeps `<parent>`, `<properties>` and `<build><plugins>`; with
`-Dmaven.consumer.pom.flatten=true` → only `modelVersion`, `groupId`,
`artifactId` and `version`.

   #1726 edits the same section.
