Kristian Rosenvold commented on SUREFIRE-723:
---------------------------------------------
The change is probably real, but as Olivier points out there's a more
appropriate way of achieving this effect.
So even though the semantics of an empty test expression seem to have changed
from "include none" to "include all", I will be proposing this as won't fix.
Feel free to suggest why not.
> All tests are executed when -Dtest= option is specified

> Components: Maven Surefire Plugin
> Affects Versions: 2.8
> Environment: Kubuntu 10.10
> Maven 2.2.1
> Reporter: Sami Nieminen
>
> Before version 2.8 it was possible to generate the test jar packages without
> actually running the unit tests by specifying the option -Dtest= (mvn install
> -Dtest=). This has changed with 2.8 since now this option doesn't seem to
> have any effect, i.e. all the tests are executed.
