My apologizes if this sounded like we were patching the Zookeeper client just
for one (company's) use case. I saw this as a bug fix for some corner cases
most people would not run into and the fix doesn't affect people who don't have
such an issue. And if they use unbundled Zookeeper they don't have the fix but
then the fix is for a rare case they most likely won't run into.
That's said, I realize that this is not a sufficient justification for patching
this file externally and I will drop this and instead do it internally.
