+1 for optional, more flexible and not logically necessary to create a volume,
hence less confusing for readers. If we decide prohibit these actions if
principal is missing, we can do it in the validation code. Moreover, I'd
suggest we change {{ReservationInfo.principal}} to optional as well, via a
deprecation cycle.
