    Description: To be consistent with other operator endpoints, require a 
single JSON object in the request as opposed to key-value pairs encoded in a 
string.  (was: Things I suggest to change for consistency and avoiding least 
surprise for operators. This includes:
* A single JSON object per request (with the force flag inside);
* force flag in the URL;
* Maybe introduce a schema or typed object per request.
