James Peach commented on MESOS-8531: ------------------------------------ This refers to the status updates that are sent when the default executor tears down a task group in response to a single task failing. In slack, we discussed defining a separate reason field that would be used to make it more explicit that a particular task was killed because the group failed (in some sense). > Some task status updates sent by the default executor don't contain a REASON. > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: MESOS-8531 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS-8531 > Project: Mesos > Issue Type: Bug > Components: executor > Affects Versions: 1.2.3, 1.3.1, 1.4.1, 1.5.0 > Reporter: Gastón Kleiman > Priority: Major > Labels: default-executor, mesosphere > > The default executor doesn't set a reason when sending {{TASK_KILLING}}, > {{TASK_KILLED}}, > and {{TASK_FAILED}} task status update. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005)
