thanks for raising this issue.
The observation is correct: the current documentation does not reflect a proper
solution to migrate flows between NiFI and MiNiFi.
In version 2.0 many things are deprecated like flow xml format, flow templates,
variables, etc. Also these are deprecated MiNiFi as well. Although some of the
features are complete, some still need to be addressed, like the exporting
flows from NiFi to MiNiFI. Similarly to version 1.x this feature is intended to
take place in minifi-toolkit - like the retired template conversion
funcionality.
The goal of the milestone releases is to contain major changes and provide an
insight to the features. Based on feedback from the community these features
can be improved and issues can be fixed before the final release happens.
Both the migration feature and the document update are planned to be added in
the next milestone release. We kindly ask for you patience, or you are welcome
to contribute the improvement as well. Meanwhile you can use the workaround for
the issue as [~ferdei] advised.
