Andre commented on NIFI-235:
----------------------------

[~joewitt] is this still relevant given the creation of MINIFI? Also, ideally
we should try to agree on a particular set of benchmark parameters so we can
repeat the test and obtain comparative data.

> Test nifi on a single core/minimally resourced system

> Key: NIFI-235
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-235
> Project: Apache NiFi
> Issue Type: Test
> Components: Core Framework
> Reporter: Joseph Witt
> Priority: Trivial
>
> The performance and behavior of NiFi is often tested on large systems systems
> with what is believed to be adequate resources. What we do not do well is
> test NiFi's behavior on intentionally, but reasonably, small systems.
> It should be tested on a single core system with limited RAM. Specifically
> the GetFile and PutFile processors should be set with aggressive settings and
> processor and memory utilization should be evaluated. This should not cause
> 100% CPU usage. Issues should be identified and any lessons learned
> documented. Scale up isn't all that matters...
