# Summary [NIFI-14929](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-14929) Updates the `DatabaseTableSchemaRegistry` to check default values declared for table columns before creating a corresponding Record Field, then log a message when encountering a value that is not compatible with the field Data Type. The changes preserve existing behavior for default value handling, and avoid exceptions that can be caused by having a default column value that does not meet field requirements.
