URL: https://github.com/apache/nifi/pull/10547

   # Summary

   [NIFI-15227](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-15227) Replaces
application framework usage of Apache Commons Codec with `MessageDigestUtils`
from the `nifi-utils` module. Direct usage of `commons-codec` was limited to
the the `DigestUtils` class to produce an SHA-256 digest of several values. The
`MessageDigestUtils.getDigest()` method also produces and SHA-256 digest, and
the standard Java `HexFormat` class creates a hexadecimal-encoded
representation, removing the need for Apache Commons Codec in application
framework and web-api modules.
