# Summary [NIFI-15508](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-15508) Adds initial support for recording Gauge values through the `StandardProcessSession` and `MockProcessSession` implementations based on NiFi API 2.6.0. The standard Session introduces the `ComponentMetricReporter` as a framework extension, supporting export of both Gauge and Counter values. A new application property named `nifi.component.metric.reporter.implementation` defines the class implementing the `ComponentMetricReporter` interface. The default value is blank. The mock Session records Gauge values in memory. The `TestRunner` now includes a method named `getGaugeValues()` to retrieve a list of values that a Processor records in `onTrigger` invocations. Changes include a new system test with a basic implementation of the `ComponentMetricReporter` that exercises both framework configuration and Gauge recording. These changes provide the foundation for subsequent framework changes, which could include persisting Gauge values along with Counter values for retrieval from the NiFi REST API and visualization through the NiFi UI. # Tracking Please complete the following tracking steps prior to pull request creation. ### Issue Tracking - [X] [Apache NiFi Jira](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI) issue created ### Pull Request Tracking - [X] Pull Request title starts with Apache NiFi Jira issue number, such as `NIFI-00000` - [X] Pull Request commit message starts with Apache NiFi Jira issue number, as such `NIFI-00000` - [X] Pull request contains [commits signed](https://docs.github.com/en/authentication/managing-commit-signature-verification/signing-commits) with a registered key indicating `Verified` status ### Pull Request Formatting - [X] Pull Request based on current revision of the `main` branch - [X] Pull Request refers to a feature branch with one commit containing changes # Verification Please indicate the verification steps performed prior to pull request creation. ### Build - [X] Build completed using `./mvnw clean install -P contrib-check` - [X] JDK 21 - [X] JDK 25 ### Licensing - [ ] New dependencies are compatible with the [Apache License 2.0](https://apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0) according to the [License Policy](https://www.apache.org/legal/resolved.html) - [ ] New dependencies are documented in applicable `LICENSE` and `NOTICE` files ### Documentation - [ ] Documentation formatting appears as expected in rendered files -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
