@ijokarumawak Believe I have corrected the issue. Created a similar flow
of GenerateFlowFile -> UpdateAttribute -> LogAttribute and verified successful
passing of environment variables into NiFi. The updated commit additionally
merged in the changes to resolve the previous conflict.
