Description:
Since the upgrade from PMD from 7.26.0 to 7.27.0 in NIFI-16306, the build has
been outputting the following warning message:

[WARNING] Warning /target/pmd/rulesets/001-pmd-ruleset.xml:92:5
90| <rule ref="category/java/errorprone.xml/AvoidUsingOctalValues" />
91| <rule ref="category/java/errorprone.xml/BrokenNullCheck" />
92| <rule ref="category/java/errorprone.xml/CheckSkipResult" />
^^^^^ Discontinue using Rule name
category/java/errorprone.xml/CheckSkipResult as it is scheduled for removal
from PMD. PMD 8.0.0 will remove support for this Rule.

notes|https://github.com/pmd/pmd/releases/tag/pmd_releases%2F7.27.0] , the rule
UnusedReturnValue should be used instead of the CheckSkipResult rule.
The goal of this ticket is to remove the CheckSkipResult rule, replace it with
the UnusedReturnValue rule and fix any places in the code which violate this
rule.
