The {{PutSplunkHTTP}} and {{QuerySplunkIndexingStatus}} Processors include a
property named {{Security Protocol}} that supports specifying the TLS version
for HTTPS communication. Modern versions of Java do not support TLS versions
below 1.2 and can also support negotiating TLS 1.3. The existing {{Scheme}}
property indicates whether {{HTTPS}} is used, making the {{Security Protocol}}
property unnecessary.
