   # Summary

   [NIFI-16420](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-16420) Removes the
historical `Security Protocol` property from Splunk Processors.

The `Security Protocol` supported configuring the TLS version to use when
connecting to Splunk services over HTTPS. Of the enumerated values, only TLS
1.2 remains supported, with modern Java versions negotiating with TLS 1.3 or
1.2 while disallowing others due to inherent security issues.

The recent addition of the `SSL Context Service` property also obviates the
need for this property. Implementation of the `migrateProperties` method
ensures clean removal of existing values when upgrading.
