The {{Validate Pull Request}} step of the {{build}} workflow includes several
checks on pull request and branch status prior to running compile and test
steps. The current validation requires that the pull request branch aligns with
the current {{main}} branch. This is more useful for initial validation, but
can become cumbersome for asynchronous review handling.
The pull request validation should be relaxed to check that the branch is
within 10 commits of the {{main}} branch. Although a loose check, this provides
some level of alignment with recent changes without removing the check
altogether.
