Daniel Stieglitz commented on NIFI-16448:
-----------------------------------------
Per response on the maven-pmd-plugin ticket, it appears this issue will be
resolved in the upcoming 3.29.0 and it is resolved in
https://github.com/apache/maven-pmd-plugin/pull/726
> Remove from build output the PMD Warning message: Adding current platform
> ../jrt-fs.jar to auxClasspath
> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: NIFI-16448
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-16448
> Project: Apache NiFi
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Reporter: Daniel Stieglitz
> Priority: Minor
>
> The following warning is repeatedly found in the build output:
> {code:java}
> [WARNING] Adding current platform
> /usr/lib/jvm/java-21-openjdk-21.0.12.1.1-1.1.el8.x86_64/lib/jrt-fs.jar to
> auxClasspath, which could be the wrong java version. Please add the correct
> jrt-fs.jar explicitly to the auxClasspath. See
> https://docs.pmd-code.org/latest/pmd_languages_java.html#providing-the-auxiliary-classpath
> Set env var PMD_JAVA_DISABLE_AUX_CLASSPATH_WARNINGS=true to disable this
> warning.
> {code}
> Although the suggestion in the warning message is to set the given
> environment variable which can be done, that would be another thing
> developers would have to know when building. Tickets have been made both to
> the PMD and Maven PMD plugin projects:
> https://github.com/pmd/pmd/issues/7178
> https://github.com/apache/maven-pmd-plugin/issues/752
