Anshu Singh commented on NIFI-16472:
------------------------------------
The "Installing as a Service" section was removed from the Getting Started
Guide in
NIFI-13854 (2.0.0), together with the removal of the install command in
NIFI-13677. The current guide at
https://nifi.apache.org/nifi-docs/getting-started.html no longer mentions
"bin/nifi.sh install".
The page linked in the description (/docs/nifi-docs/html/getting-started.html)
is last updated 2024-10-21 and
looks like documentation from an older release, so the content is correct for
that release but outdated for 2.x.
There is nothing left to change in the apache/nifi sources. If the old page
should point to the current
documentation, that would be a change to the website rather than to this
repository.

> compenents/Issues.
> The documentation from here: [Getting Started with Apache
> NiFi|https://nifi.apache.org/docs/nifi-docs/html/getting-started.html]
> The Starting NiFi - Installing as a Service section recommends executing the
> command {{bin/nifi.sh install and once installed the service can be started
> and stopped using sudo service nifi start and sudo service nifi stop.}}
> However {{bin/nifi.sh install}} command should be/ or was already removed
> according to this issue: [NIFI-13677] Remove install command from nifi.sh -
