--- Comment #4 from Arrigo Marchiori <[email protected]> --- It looks like, that whenever you have an ``insufficient'' copy-pasting, OpenOffice Calc does *not* ask for confirmation to overwrite already existing data in the target cell. In other words, applying to your example: 1. copy C1 with Ctrl+C and paste it into A2 with Ctrl+V. Pasting happens immediately and the value in A2 is overwritten with number 3. 2. Copy C2 twice, and paste it into A2 with Ctrl+V. Calc will request if you really want to overwrite the existing value in A2.
