--- Comment #3 from Ariel Constenla-Haile <[email protected]> --- (In reply to comment #2) > What will be the alternative? I see the license problems, but a missing PDF > import IMHO would be an exclusion criterion for AOO (at least it should be > for me). May be Apache compatible re-licensing with can be requested? Re-licensing of what? Of the external dependencies? If so, you will have to ask the original developers. xpdf is GPLv2 http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf/about.html and if you read this page, it seems they won't change it. There is a library named poppler, based on xpdf, licensed under (GPLv2 or GPLv3) and GPLv2+ and LGPLv2+ and MIT. The MIT license may enter in category B, but I have no idea if it covers all of poppler. And, in the end, if replacing xpdf with poppler is license compatible for AOO, someone in the know will have to do this. Supposing some developer volunteers, it might be to late for 4.0.0 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. You are the assignee for the bug.
