Open a new spreadsheet.
Call Data>Pivot Table>Create...
Choose to create a pivot from a registered data source.
The following dialog has 2 flaws:
1. Before you can declare any source, you need to choose between source type
table, query, parsed sql or direct sql. But the list box to choose from is
below the source box.
2. There is a source type "Sheet" which should be labeled "Table" since we do
not pull data from any sheet (even if so it would be some range on a sheet).
Would be nice to have:
In the Base component we have a [...] button besides the source box which pops
up the query designer.
