Bug ID: 123340 Issue Type: DEFECT Summary: Feature Request: Increase limits (maximum number of rows and cells) /Unable to import large text-tab delimited document Product: Calc Version: 4.0.0 Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: open-import Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org Reporter: webassistant5.tft+openoff...@gmail.com CC: issues@openoffice.apache.org I am unable to import a large text-tab delimited document with the following specifications: --------------- Rows: 60,249 Columns: 18 Cells: 1,020,126 Maximum characters per cell: 268 -------------- The rows are imported but cropped at 60,226 rows (-23 from the actual document). And if I try LibreOffice fork of OpenOffice I also get the error "The data could not be loaded completely because the maximum number of characters per cell was exceeded." and nothing imports at all. At least OpenOffice is able to open the document, but not completely. Feature Request: As I see it the Microsoft Excel specs are much higher than OpenOffice currently, even the older 2010 version. Work should be done to allow OpenOffice to work with Big(er) Data and large documents. https://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/excel-specifications-and-limits-HP010073849.aspx -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
